Description
The monks can be seen holding a variety of our Bodhi lucky Japa mala in their hands and chanting the mantra while taking rounds around the stupa in Kathmandu. This handcrafted Japa mala is also one of a kind and they use it while doing prayers or during the worshipping. People in a famous Timal village in Nepal grow a tree called Buddha Chitta, which is a source of beads to make this Japa mala. People in that village have a story that makes them believe that the tree they grow is a sacred tree and the beads that the tree grows have the Buddha’s eye on it. Our Bodhi lucky japa mala also showcase the Buddhist cultural heritage of Nepal.
Why Purchase Our Bodhi Lucky Japa Mala?
Our professional artisans collect beads from the villagers. They bring it to their crafting place, where they decorate each bead with gemstones and brass wires after frying the beads using natural pigments to give them antiqued colorings. The women in the crafting place then put the beads into the nylon thread to make this Japa mala. This beautiful Buddhist Japa mala carries the historic importance of Buddhist culture in Nepal.
Each of our Japa mala beads measure 11 to 12 mm wide in diameter approx. Similarly, the necklace is 58 centimeters long approx. As our product is produced entirely by hand, your understanding of the slight variation in sizes and colors of this product is highly appreciated.
