These people are famous from the ancient history of Nepal for their skills in making high-quality Sarangi Musical instruments and are also known for their unique styles of telling the story of national heroes by making songs while playing Sarangi.

In the old times, they seemed to be travelling from one district to another, sharing stories and singing folk songs by playing the Sarangi Instruments. Their stories are full of emotions and the musical sound they create from the Sarangi would touch the listener’s heart immediately. People would give them money or food or other necessary things to make their journey easy.

This Sarangi Musical instrument is handmade out of a single piece of wood where Lord Ganesha’s head has been hand-carved on its back side. Similarly, it comes with the bowing stick which is made out of bamboo. It measures 41 centimeters in length, 11.5 centimeters in width and 6 centimeters in height.
